The longer version
A drop-in is the pay-per-visit option. A player books one spot in Thursday’s 19:00 class or one place in the open-play session, pays for that visit, and has no further obligation. It sits alongside memberships and class packs as the lowest-commitment way in.
Clubs use drop-ins to fill last spots and to give new players a first visit without a sales conversation. Studios watch the drop-in share of attendances: too high and revenue is unpredictable, too low and the club is not attracting new faces.
Drop-ins need a clear price above the per-visit cost of a membership, otherwise members feel cheated, and they need a capacity cap so regulars are not squeezed out. The common mistake is letting drop-ins book weeks ahead and take spots from members.
