The problem

Does the waitlist work for classes too?
Yes. Courts, classes, and open-play sessions all take a waitlist. A freed class place goes to the next person on the list the same way a court hour does.
Can a regular keep their Tuesday slot forever?
For as long as the club allows. A recurring booking has an end date, and the club sets a release rule so an unconfirmed week goes back on sale instead of sitting empty.
What does the waitlisted player see?
A notification that the slot is free, how long they have to take it, and the normal checkout. If they do nothing, the offer moves to the next player.
