Coaches

Lessons sit on the same schedule as the courts.

Each coach has a profile, their own availability, and a block on the schedule that players can book into. A lesson takes the court and the coach in one step, so neither gets sold twice.

What you'll see

  • Coach availability beside court availability
  • Paid at booking
  • Court blocked for the hour
  • Visible in the coach view

Illustrative coach day: a private lesson at 09:00, a group lesson at 17:00, and the court each one uses.

The problem

Coaches book court time by message, the desk blocks it by hand, and the player pays the coach in cash later. Three people hold three versions of the same hour, and one of them is wrong.

  • 01

A lesson is booked on a court that was sold to a member 5 minutes earlier.

  • 02

The coach’s free hours are only in the coach’s head, so players ask the desk and the desk asks the coach.

  • 03

Lesson money moves outside the club and never shows in the report.

How it works

In the order it happens.

01

Set up the coach

A profile with the sports they teach, lesson types, prices, and the hours they are available.

02

Player picks a lesson

Availability shows only the hours where the coach and a suitable court are both free. Private or group, the player chooses.

03

Pay at booking

The player pays by card through Stripe. The court and the coach are both taken in one confirmed booking.

04

The coach’s day

The coach signs in and sees only their lessons, the players on each, and who has paid.

What the club decides

Your rules, written once.

OK

Give a coach Monday and Wednesday evenings and keep the other nights for members.

OK

Offer a 4-player group lesson at a lower price per head than a private.

OK

Set a separate cancellation window for lessons, since a coach’s hour is harder to resell.

OK

See lesson bookings beside court bookings in the same monthly report.

Questions

The plain answers.

Can a coach who is not staff see the schedule?

Yes. A coach role shows the coach their own lessons and availability, and nothing else. They cannot see other coaches’ players or the club’s finances.

Do players pay the coach or the club?

Players pay the club by card at booking. How the club settles with the coach is between them, and the report shows lesson bookings by coach.

What if a coach is ill on the day?

Staff cancel or move the lesson from the schedule. Players get an email and push notification, and the refund goes back to the card automatically.
