The longer version
A recurring booking is one reservation copied forward: weekly, every second week, or monthly, until an end date or a set number of occurrences. Coaches, club teams, and regular groups use them to hold their slot without rebooking every week.
Clubs like the guaranteed revenue and the predictability. The risk is the opposite: a court held every Tuesday at 19:00 for a group that stops showing up in month 3, blocking the busiest slot of the week from paying players.
Good practice is to bill the series per occurrence or per month rather than all upfront, review series every season, and let a single occurrence be cancelled or moved without breaking the rest. The mistake is treating a recurring booking as permanent.
