Lobby vs Podplay

Padel marketplace demand
or a club-owned booking flow?

Podplay combines a padel player app with club tools, so some of your bookings may come from its marketplace. Lobby is club software with no marketplace, a flat monthly fee, and the booking relationship under your brand.

When Podplay may be better

  • -Padel players in your area already book through the Podplay app.
  • -You want a player app with a padel focus more than a booking site under your own domain.
  • -You have checked the marketplace fee against the bookings it brings and the numbers work.

When Lobby may be better

  • -Most of your bookings come from members and regulars you already know.
  • -You want a flat Lobby software fee with 0% Lobby booking cut.
  • -You run more than padel, or plan to, and want one booking flow for courts, classes, and open play.

Questions

Decide with
current facts.

Is Podplay bad for clubs?
No. A padel marketplace is useful when a club needs new players. The question is what each marketplace booking costs against a booking from a regular.
Can we use Lobby and keep a marketplace listing?
Lobby does not sync with marketplaces, so a court sold in both places needs a manual court block. Decide which channel owns the bookable schedule.
What should we verify before switching?
Verify the marketplace share of your bookings, the fee on each channel, export rights, and which player emails you are allowed to contact.
